Thoughts On My Studies Of Revelations

My studies of Revelations began over a year and a half ago. I can remember some days I couldn't read it fast enough as my mind soaked in God's Word, then other days I would pick it up and start reading and be thinking, "I don't understand any of this."
I did not intend to study Revelations at all...it is a very dark book to me, but every time I would open my bible it would go to that book, and the more I read the more I craved the Word. I still don't understand all of it, but am sharing my journey that GOD took me on as He kept after me to read this book and share it with those in my life.
It is funny though how against me people were as I tried to share what I was learning. Even they didn't want to hear about all the bad things that would happen to our world..can't say I blame them, the book is a very hard read and even harder to comprehend. I even tried to read and share it with my own husband who wanted nothing to do with "doom and gloom" as he calls it.
No, I don't know when GOD is coming for us...only GOD knows that. The bible tells us this. The bible also tells us to watch for His coming. And no, I don't sit around looking at the sky every day wondering when He is coming home for us. I am human and a sinner. I don't always obey, though I do try hard and when I make a mistake or mess up, I ask for forgiveness and repent, and then work even harder on not making the same mistake again.
I felt compelled (or led) to share what He was teaching me. Each new thing I read or learned was exciting, humbling, and scary also, and it woke me up to the fact that some things in my own life I needed to change and be what GOD wanted me to because I didn't want to die not knowing Him with a deeper understanding, more respect, more love, more commitment, and an unshakeable faith in what He taught me.
What I hoped was to share what I read, what He taught me, and pray that all who might read this come to understand what will happen before He comes home for us.
